When I was smaller, I formerly asked my mom what the best portion of her day was, and with no 2nd thoughts, her response was each second that you cry out for me because you needed me. Looking back, i found it crazy now that I used to ask my momma for a lot of stuff, even just to set a simplistic problem or just simply acquiring water out of the electric refrigerator just because I was so lazy to do so myself. Growing up watching my mom juggle several things concurrently had me reckoning of never wanting to become a mom in the future. Being a mother comes with a plethora of emotions all rolled into one that defies reason.

Being a mother means giving life to your kids, teach them things, let them know right from wrong, giving them freedom to live their lives but not living it for your children, not learning it for them, not deciding it for them but in the end be accountable for them.

Despite your children taking the path that you least like in life, a mother should be supporting them every step they take. Being is a mother is to always be present despite the pain. Because the unfathomable fact is, you can never stop being a mother.

Courage. The main trait one has to exhibit in order to be called a real mother is courage. And why are mothers so special because they can take the place of all other people but then expect nothing in return. Being remembered on mother's day once a year is not enough for bringing us to their world and at the same time giving up their world for us.

I already know this because of a very wonderful person in my life, my mother. As the mother of my kids now, the most fantastic part of my life is to know that I am important to my kids, and I will love them unconditionally, forever.
