Hypnosis for motivation:-

Author: Terry Doherty

Motivation is defined by many experts as the intrinsic will to perform any action. When the action is carried out with the express intention of achieving a predetermined goal or a predefined objective then that particular goal constitutes the extrinsic motivation for performing those actions.

In very simple terms the will to do something of one’s own volition constitutes intrinsic motivation and when a person tries to achieve some kind of reward either monetary o rin kind then it is referred to as extrinsic motivation.

Extrinsic motivation is easy to understand and to achieve. It is often rooted in necessity or any other extreme emotion such as fear, anger or love. Love and motivation go hand in hand and they are often inseparable. What is less clearly understood is the existence of intrinsic motivation.

What factor drives one person to exceed his or her own expectations and another to forgo long term effects and consequences for the short term pleasures of life? In very short and succinct terms what one possesses and the other lacks is intrinsic motivation.

Intrinsic motivation is often generated by the self. But because it is something that you cannot control easily you need to understand that the self is often defeated by the flesh and then all your good intentions are swept under the carpet.

If you are one of those people who is forever on a diet and forever in line to signup for dance classes or kick an irritating habit then you need not look any further. Hypnosis is the solution to all your problems and all your good intentions can be brought to fruition. Hypnosis does not put you to sleep and make you do things that you don’t want. In case you have these notions about hypnosis then do dispel them at the earliest.

Hypnosis work by putting into a relaxed physical state and awakens your subconscious mind. Then the Hypnotherapist suggests certain positive changes to you that you can bring about in your life. If you have made a conscious decision to bring about those changes then and only then can you do so otherwise not. No one can make you do something that you don’t want to do.

Once the Hypnosis session is over you will find that you have the mental resolve to do things that you were unable to earlier. This ensures that whether you wanted to stop smoking or you wanted to reduce your weight you will find your self with an infinite reservoir of intrinsic motivation to do what you feel is right and appropriate for you.

Finding your goals in life is important but it is equally important to find the necessary strength and motivation to achieve those goals. Hypnosis can help you tap those reservoirs of motivation necessary to achieve what you have always wanted and what you have the capacity to achieve. Always remember that no one can make you do anything that you don’t want to do. Only you have the power too change your self and your life.
