The Roses Will Bloom Again
Author: Uzo Onukwugha
Roses grow and glow in diverse colors
They paint life pictures in different brush strokes
Like life, roses exhibit ironies, twists and thorns
Beautiful roses dwell among the sharpest thorns
They bloom when they are broken
Becoming better with challenge
Crushed roses emit the sweetest fragrance
Because pleasure of their treasure comes with pressure
Borrow a leaf or two from the king of flowers
Glean, glow and grow from the symbol of love
Let the rose inspire your rise because you’re wise
Like a rose, your dream must bloom by groom
Look up from your valley and value the roses
Stop, stoop, and smell the roses
Waste not like a rose in the desert air
Bloom like a rose in the oasis of love
In spite of the thorns, the roses will bloom again |
